"WAHE GURU" for yogalove from the Beginning

the 11 important things that are very helpful and supportive before you start practicing yoga.

One of them comes first for me and if you internalize this point, yoga will give you even more pleasure. Then it's yoga love - right from the Begin. The most important points to stay motivated in yoga and be a happy yogi:

The Mantra „WAHE Guru “

All good yogis motivate you to practice the exercises according to your pace and your feeling for your body. Please listen to the signals from your body.

„Wahe Guru“ - "Be your own guru - you decide for yourself what you think you can do, how far you go into the exercise."

Please do not stretch further during the exercises than as far as it feels good for you. If you want to continue stretching, take your breath to help and feel your limit! We are all differently disposed in our flexibility, to a certain extent we can train and work on it, but each at his own pace and degree. If you can't stretch your joints so flexibly, then that's the way it is, totally Fine where you are and different depending on how you feel on the day.

"Always compare yourself only to the best version of yourself. Yes, we can have goals, but yoga is about much more than that -
the Way is the goal".

You have the opportunity to freely and flexibly choose a wide variety of types of yoga, depending on your mood and physical condition. At the same time you set yourself at the beginning of the practice with the mantra "Wahe Guru" to pay attention to your internalization. Set yourself an intention for the upcoming practice, depending on your feeling, such as:

"I'm loved"
"I am full of strength and energy"
"I am in balance"

In this way you will come to rest at the beginning of the yoga class and fill yourself with a lot of love. Wonderful - you have already taken the most important step.

These other 10 things support you in your yoga practice and are your constant, loyal companions. 1. A good non-slip mat is the basis of any yoga practice. There are a wide variety of yoga mats, which show themselves in the strength and texture of the material. For some exercises you need a particularly non-slip mat, for others the priority is on a particularly pleasant surface. Personally, I work with two different yoga mats, one for on the go, which is very light and non-slip and well-buffered, and one that I mainly use at home. this has a very pleasant, soft surface like an integrated towel. It is a hot yoga mat that is used when you sweat heavily, but which you can also spray with water for better grip. The advantage is that it has a cozy feeling with gentle exercises and feels better for me personally. Since I only use them at home, I can turn them around to have a firm grip and have two yoga mats in one. I think I could write my own blog post about yoga mats :) It is important that it offers the right buffering for you, that it has a good, suitable length and that it is non-slip. so it gives you more stability and security during the exercises. In contrast to many fitness mats, yoga mats are not elastic, but rather stable, especially in the longitudinal direction.

2. Water

you should always have water available so that you can supply yourself with fluids in between and stay well hydrated. A drinking bottle that you can use again and again is practical here.

3. Temperature reasonable, comfortable, pleasant clothes.

Of course, it's nice to have a stylish yoga outfit, but normal leggings or sweatpants and a comfortable, elastic top are sufficient. you should just have enough freedom of movement.

4. A Yoga Block

This is very helpful to have support with various exercises. It is mostly used as an extension of your arms so that you can perform the exercises correctly, even if you may not be able to stretch that much. Even if you train in the morning, we are often still a bit stiff and are only allowed to gently wake our body up. If you don't have a yoga block, you can also help yourself with a thick book.

5. A Yogabelt

A yoga belt is a great support for certain exercises, such as forward or reverse postures. Here, too, you can improvise and use a bathrobe belt, for example.

6. A Yogabag

Personally, I love my yoga bag, in which I can store my yoga mat and various utensils. There is also space for a key, possibly a cell phone and a towel.

7. Pillows to cuddle with

Various pillows are a great support for relaxing during Shavasana, the beloved final relaxation, under the buttocks in the sitting position or as padding during hip-opener exercises.

8. A cozy blanket

A blanket in which you can snuggle up really nicely during Shavasana.

9. A Towel

To dry yourself off when you sweat and, depending on the yoga mat, to put it under during relaxing exercises, a towel is helpful.

10. Hair tie or hoop.

If you have long hair, it is helpful to have a hair tie on hand. I also like to train with my hair down because on some days I feel so more free. With these utensils and tips you are well prepared for your yoga practice and you can start. My morning yoga has meanwhile become "vital" for me. It trains my body exactly the way it needs it, at the same time gives it meditation and frees the mind - so I am perfectly prepared for the new day and receive it with a smile in my heart.

I'm looking forward to practicing with you, have a look at my videos, there will be new material soon - stay in contact. Lots of love,

Namaste
